Illinois State University's Budget Office centrally administers budget activity for the campus and serves as liaison to state governing bodies for budget analysis and reporting. Constituents include the Illinois Board of Higher Education, State of Illinois legislature, Governor’s Office of Management and Budget, Illinois State University Board of Trustees, President’s cabinet, Academic Senate, and other campus administrators and fiscal managers.
The Budget Office performs financial analyses, provides data to University leaders for informed decision-making, provides operational assistance to campus budget officers, and works with central offices, such as Human Resources, Payroll, and Comptroller, to develop processes that ensure the fiscal needs of the University are met. The Budget Office also works closely with Planning, Research, and Policy Analysis (PRPA) for the purposes of data analysis and reporting.
The Budget Office is located in 302 Hovey Hall within the Vice President for Finance and Planning office suite.
